Tomorrow, a current events quiz. Also, Make-up day for quizzes, etc. is Monday and Tuesday during lunch.
You stop-motion homework is due on Friday, March 15.
Field Trip permission slips for Media Festival at Blake on April 10 will be here tomorrow. I need 48 students to go to fill the bus.
April 26th is the Environmental Film Festival field trip. That is at the AFI and we will go via Metro.
Next Tuesday is the last grade for this quarter.

March 12 - Contest you might like, all ye musicians
Studio 360, a public radio program about the arts, is hosting a contest for those of you who might be interested in mixing some music. Check out the contest here. It involves bird songs, really beautiful bird song. I think this is one of the coolest contests I have seen in a long time.

March 11 -- Animation Studies for Homework (Due Friday, March 15)

Click here for really cool new perspective on a stop-motion. At the end, you will see some of how it was done.
Draw up a plan for a stop-motion. Include two scenery slides. Write out the story and give a rough sketch of your characters. This rough sketch can be a drawing, or a picture of the little character you built.
The best ideas will be shot and made into movies. Yes, you are allowed to adapt a story. For example, you can use a fairy tale or something else that is in the public domain. That means no Disney or other things unless you are doing a parody.
10 pts. for scenery shots
10 pts. for storyline
10 pts. for character sketch
30 pts. total (Homework grade)
