Assignment for Monday , Nov. 3 - DUE AT END OF PERIOD TO THE SUB

Last year at Media Madness with Keegan and Kwaku.

So, now is the time to start thinking about Media Madness which is the MCPS Broadcast Media Festival and Competition. Last year the competition deadline was March 11. It will be something similar this year.

ALL WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL. That is music, video footage, images . . . everything.

Last year, we won the PSA with this.

Plus, Khyle won the most important award that was judged by the American University grad students (who really know their stuff) with his piece on parkour (click here)

 The time limits last year were:

5 min for the broadcast news show

:30 sec or 1 min. for PSA

2 min. for Non-fiction news package

4 min for the 5-Day Film (remember we did not know the genre until the first day of the 5-day competition

So here are a few videos that will help your planning. Technical issues will be heavily weighed in this competition. Don't be sloppy and pay attention to everything . . . sound, shot composition, story, everything.

WRITE UP WHAT YOU LEARNED THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW FROM THE FOLLOWING VIDEOS. 15 pts formative. TURN IT IN TO THE SUB. NO LATE WORK THIS QTR. REPEAT. NO LATE WORK THIS QTR.

Here is a link to the Hero's Journey . . . a great way to start building a story, even if it is a comedy.

Lastly, save this following link to your docs somewhere. Look it over. You have been using these in your own work and will be doing more.
